the president of the burrows of staten island reportedly said it's asinine to hold what he describes as a parade at a time like this. with the storm knocking out power and displacing so many people, getting hotel rooms in the new york city, new jersey area is nearly impossible. get this. the pittsburgh steelers apparently stuck ahead of sunday's game against the new york football giants, still no power at the hotel. the steelers had originally booked. the pittsburgh post gazette newspaper reports the team will travel to and from new jersey on the day of the game which is set for just after 4:00 eastern daylight time. then that night we familiar back. don't forget. saturday night. just across the river from downtown manhattan, hoboken new jersey, it's finally starting to dry out. but the mayor says as much as 5% of the city is still without power. tens of thousands of people rode out the storm there and woke up to scenes like this. the national guard came to the rescue with much needed supplies and today, finally, the floodwaters have been pumped out. but it could be a long road back
